Sigiriya ๐ชจ
Sigiriya is a world-famous archaeological site in Sri Lanka. It is located in the Matale District of the Central Province. Sigiriya is known as a fortress built by King Kashyapa in ancient times. This rock is about 660 feet high. The Lion Gate of Sigiriya is a very famous feature. The Sigiriya frescoes are also considered valuable works of art in the world. The Mirror Wall of Sigiriya is another special attraction. The gardens and water gardens around Sigiriya are beautifully designed.
Today, Sigiriya is recognized as a World Heritage Site. Many local and foreign tourists visit Sigiriya every year. Climbing Sigiriya is somewhat difficult, but the view from the top is very beautiful. While climbing the rock, visitors can see ancient engineering skills. Sigiriya adds great value to the history of Sri Lanka. It also brings significant income to the tourism industry of the country. Therefore, Sigiriya is a valuable national heritage that we should protect.
